The Sanstha began its activities By Establishing a Primary School Named Moru Narayan Mhatre Vidyalaya, Ghavan, Tal – Panvel, And Today Due To The Visionary Zeal And Dynamic Leadership.
Of Chairman Honourable Shri Ramsheth Thakur The Sanstha Runs 21 Institutes In Panvel And Navi Mumbai, Imparting Education. In Varied Disciplines From The Primary To The Post Graduate Levels.

Shri. Ramsheth Thakur Samajik Vikas Mandal, Panvel organises the following events:

- Distribution of Free Notebooks, Textbooks & Uniforms to Poor & Needy Students
- Financial Assistance to the Needy & Poor Students for Higher Education

- Medical Camps for all types of Diseases
- Eye Testing Camp
- Monoacting Competition
- Dance Competition
- Competitive Exams for Zilla Parishad Schools
The Mandal has done tremendous work during the period of flood in Panvel. The Mandal has provided breakfast, lunch & dinner to the flood-affected people, it also conducted the health camp and supplied mineral water and clothes to the flood-affected people.
It also provides financial help to the different NGOs of Raigad and Navi Mumbai. Mandal annually organizes the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup’ at the State Level Kabaddi Tournament. Mandal always organizes many collaborative programs with Changu Kana Thakur College. Recently, by recognizing the work of Mandal, CIDCO Ltd. has allotted a spacious plot at Ulve node to develop a dream project ‘Ramsheth Thakur Sports Academy’.
For their remarkable social work, the Mandal has been conferred with the ‘Best NGO Award’ and Mr. Prashant Thakur has been conferred with the ‘Best Youth Award’ by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Alibag, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Government of India.
